Thoranai Movie Photo Gallery

Thoranai Movie Photo Stills

The image of a man with well toned muscles, ripping forearms, and a relaxed countenance, all good enough to make you wonder if you are lookink at a Greek god.

However, a closer examination confirms that it is Vishal in his next movie Thoranai. Ask the star about it and he smiles even as he says, “My next project is a bilingual. It’s called Thoranai in Tamil and Pista in Telugu. The film, which is being produced by my brother Vikram Krishna, will be a fun-filled action thriller.”

Sources in the industry say that Shriya will play the lead along with Vishal in the movie which will also have Prakash Raj, Kishore and comedian Santhanam playing important roles.
Giving more details about the project, Vishal says, ”We chose this name for the project because it describes the hero’s attitude in the film. The movie is being directed by Iyappan, who has worked with Malaikottai director Boopathi Pandian. The music is by Manisharma while Priyan will handle the camera.”

Tell him that his fans are eager for his next movie’s release and he explains, “We’ve just started work on this project. The introduction song is being shot in Karaikudi and Meenakshi is doing the item number. We hope to release the movie in May. Had the project not been a bilingual, we would have considered the idea of releasing it earlier.”

Point out that the industry seems to be down in the dumps with not many willing to invest in fresh projects, and he surprises you with his optimism, not discounting the distress in Kollywood. “Kollywood is going through a bad phase. But it is okay to have a wake up call once in a while. It makes you work harder,” he says and adds earnestly, “At a personal level, Sathyam’s performance has made me buck up. I wouldn’t say I was overconfident. But Sathyam’s performance has made me see the other side of the world — failure. Had the movie been a hit, I would have implemented other plans. To tell you the truth, I really had huge plans. I wanted to take my movies to the next level. However, I have postponed my directorial plans. Our responsibilities have increased now.”

At the end of the day, does he regret making Sathyam? “Not at all,” comes the swift reply.
“I don’t regret making Sathyam. In fact, I learnt a lot of good and bad things from that project. Satyam is my biggest hit and my biggest flop in the sense that its collections have surpassed all my other films’ collections but at the same time, it didn’t actually meet everyone’s expectations. However, I don’t care about the result. I worked hard and did good work. We’re filmmakers, not astrologers,” he reasons.
So, during these difficult times, what will Thoranai’s budget be?

“We’ve not fixed a budget. We’re going along with the script. Whatever the screenplay demands, we’ll provide,” he explains nonchalantly.

The six-pack craze continues to persist. Ask him what made him work towards acquiring one and whether he’ll sport it in this film as well and he says, “I saw Shah Rukh Khan doing it and I challenged myself, and said if he could do it at that age, I should do it too. But primarily, I’m someone who believes in being healthy and staying fit. As of now, I might go shirtless if the script demands it.” Source: timesofindia.indiatimes.com
